To be considered fully trained for your position, you need to complete the following:

Cub Scouts = Youth Protection + Cub Scout Leader Specific

Youth Protection
On-line course for all adults
Required for any adult working with our youth
Provides adult leaders and interested parents with youth protection guidelines as outlined by the BSA.
This training supplies information to help ensure a safe and secure environment for the youth of our program through protection guidelines that are outlined by the BSA.
This training supplies information on the basics of recognizing and reporting abuse.
This program helps protect our youth and YOU, as their leader, by supplying the facts!

Fast Start – On-line course
Provides information to aid new leaders in planning and conducting their first meetings
Should be completed immediately after accepting a new position

This is Scouting – On-line course for all leaders
Pre-requisite for all BSA Adult Basic Training

Cub Scout Leader Specific
Training is for new Cub Scout Leaders. Cub Leaders who are switching roles will need to attend the position specific break-out. TIS Training is a prerequisite. Please note that all of the new Cub Leader Specific Training is now online.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
Scoutcraft and camping skills for Cub and Webelos Leaders and required for overnight outings.*

Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders (OWLS)
Strongly recommended for Webelos Den Leaders before conducting Webelos den camping*

*Some outings may require other online training. Hazardous weather(online) is required for all outings. Other training’s like Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat etc… may be required if specific activities are being conducted.
